“Valuing Diversity and Inclusion in the Academy: Achieving New Levels of Excellence“

by Dr. Yolanda Moses, Vice Provost for Conflict Resolution and the Special Assistant to the Chancellor for Excellence and Diversity at University of California Riverside.

The seminar will focus on the research literature on diversity and inclusion in general (gender, race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, creed, religion) and its influence on workplace productivity and team creativity. The need to consider diversity in the academy includes, but goes well beyond, issues of social justice and speaks to the core mission of the role of the land grant university in the United States in the 21st century.

Seminar will be held in the Hollingsworth Auditorium on the Agricultural campus from 9 - 10am.
